Latest Incidents

1. Last night, 01.00 18/12/14; Dr Weston was called by NWAS to assist two paramedic crews assessing 11 children aged 8-11 yrs from Washington, Tyne-&-Wear, staying at an outdoor centre in Portinscale who were suffering from gastroenteritis. A Major Incident "stand-by" was declared due to the numbers involved. In the end, after checking all the children, all were allowed to stay in "isolation" bedrooms at the centre as they seemed to be improving. Dr Weston eventually got home at 04.00!!
2. 15/12/14 15.57; Dr Weston attended a car versus van head on collision on A66 west of Keswick, along with tow other BASICS Doctors, Dr. Spencer from Caldbeck & Dr. Butler from West Cumbria. Two male occupants of the van suffered significant injuries & were treated at the scene by the doctors & paramedics before being taken to Carlisle.
3. 13/12/12 11.58; Dr Weston was called to help a lady in her early sixties who had slipped on ice & badly injured one of her knees; treated at the scene by myself before being taken to Carlisle for further treatment.
