Incident Report

At approx. 16.00 6th June 2016, a cyclist was knocked off his bicycle by a passing van while cycling along the A66 west of Penrith near Penruddock; he sustained very serious life threatening injuries but was attended to by two BEEP Fund Doctors, NWAS Paramedics & the doctor/paramedic Team from the Pride of Cumbria, GNAAS Air Ambulance; he was placed in a medically induced coma and stabilised at the scene before being flown to the RVI hospital in Newcastle.
