Incident 28th July

At 17.00 today, 28th July, Beep Dr. Theo Weston was called by NWAS to a 37yr old man holidaying in a caravan near Long Marton. While cutting up meat, the kitchen knife he was using slipped & caused a very deep & significant wound in his leg; as a result he lost a very large amount of blood. His condition was deemed critical & was treated at the scene for his injuries. When the Air Ambulance, Pride of Cumbria, arrived he was given a blood transfusion before being flown to the RVI in Newcastle for more treatment.
