Latest Incident

At 04.15 on Sunday 17/05/15, an 18yr old male pedestrian was knocked down by a car in Penrith while crossing a road; he suffered very serious life-threatening injuries. He was treated at the scene by NWAS paramedics & three doctors from the BEEP Fund (Penrith BASICS) and was given several potentially life-saving treatments at the roadside (including a general anaesthetic) before being taken to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle for ongoing management.
